A Method for Optimal Site-specific Nitrogen Fertilisation

چکیده
Yield mapping of crops obtained by harvest with a combine equipped with yield metering device and GPS positioning system, has in recent years, become an important tool in crop management. With respect to nitrogen fertilisation, it is now technically possible to change practices from uniform application to differentiated, site-specific application. The presentation introduces and discusses a method for determining the spatial variation in yield response to nitrogen fertilisation, based on large scale field experiments in 1997-98. The spatial variation in yield response, based on two amounts of uniformly applied nitrogen fertiliser is suggested for generating application maps for optimal sitespecific nitrogen fertilisation. The Optimal method for predicting fertilisation rates seems to give a better background for generating application maps than predictions based on yield maps and the principle of replacement of removed nitrogen. The presented results show that the effect of spatially varied nitrogen fertilisation is reduced at increasing nitrogen input levels, and that this effect increases with decreasing nitrogen input levels.

متن کاملDrying or anaerobic digestion of fish sludge: Nitrogen fertilisation effects and logistics
Application of fish sludge as fertiliser to agricultural land can contribute to closing nutrient cycles in fish farming. The effect of different treatment technologies on the nitrogen fertilisation effects of fish sludge was studied by a bioassay with barley (Hordeum vulgare), an incubation and a field experiment. Dried fish sludge resulted in relative agronomic efficiency of 50-80% compared wi...
متن کاملNet N-mineralisation related to soil organic matter pools
Soil organic maer and its turnover rate are key parameters for agricultural management practice as well as for environmental issues. In a field experiment comparing organic (compost) and mineral fertilisation and combinations of both the amount of inorganic nitrogen in the soil and the nitrogen uptake by the plants were measured. Considering these data and the fertilisation practice the net N-...
متن کاملPhytoplankton-Specific Response to Enrichment of Phosphorus-Rich Surface Waters with Ammonium, Nitrate, and Urea
Supply of anthropogenic nitrogen (N) to the biosphere has tripled since 1960; however, little is known of how in situ response to N fertilisation differs among phytoplankton, whether species response varies with the chemical form of N, or how interpretation of N effects is influenced by the method of analysis (microscopy, pigment biomarkers). To address these issues, we conducted two 21-day in ...

Constructing new urban facilities requires precise study of the proper sitting in different parts of a city. The first point for the accurate allocation of urban facilities, is to select the optimal site regarding different conditions and it matters when it comes to important factors such as saving lives and safety of the people. Therefore, the optimal site selection of fire stations is essenti...
